Rite 2 Rise ("we", "us", "our") is a youth support organisation based in Darwin, Northern Territory. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you visit rite2rise.org, complete a contact or referral form, register for a program, or engage with our Digital Youth Hub. By using our website and services, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, and message when you submit a contact form, and additional details such as age, location, and support needs when you register for a program or referral. We may also collect limited technical information automatically, including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, to keep the site secure and working properly.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, process program registrations and referrals, deliver and improve our programs, meet our funding and reporting obligations, and keep you informed about relevant opportunities. For NDIS participants and families, we use your information to coordinate therapeutic mentoring and respite in line with your plan and preferences.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with trusted partners, funders, and service providers only where necessary to deliver a program, meet a legal or funding requirement, or protect the safety of a young person. Where we work with third parties, we require them to handle your information confidentially and in line with Australian privacy law.
Data security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Information is retained only for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal, funding, and child-safety obligations, after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To make a request, or to raise a privacy concern, contact us at director@rite2rise.org. We will respond in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Children and young people
Many of our services support young people. Where a participant is under 18, we seek parent or guardian consent before collecting personal information, and we handle all young people's information with particular care and in line with child-safety requirements.
